About Me
Hi, I’m Kayla Holstein, a photographer and visual storyteller. I've been exploring my passion for photography for almost 10 years now. What started as a creative escape quickly turned into one of my most meaningful pursuits: using photography to connect, communicate, and preserve emotion through still images.
I earned my B.S.B.A. in Marketing with a minor in Digital Marketing, where I developed a strong foundation in branding, storytelling, and content strategy. My education gave me the tools to understand not only how to create visually appealing work, but also how to tell a story that resonates with purpose and personality.
When not taking photos you can find me with my nose in a book or with a paint brush in hand. I enjoy going to concerts and spending time with my friends.

I specialize in portrait photography that captures genuine emotion, personality, and connection. My style emphasizes natural expression and thoughtful composition, with a strong foundation in digital photography and creative editing. While I have experience in special effects techniques, my true passion lies in creating timeless, expressive portraits that tell a story.
In addition to portraiture, my portfolio spans a wide range of subjects including animal photography, graduation and engagement sessions, sports, landscapes, and work with local fire companies. My website also features my AP Photography portfolio, showcasing the depth and versatility of my creative approach. Whether capturing a fleeting moment or a carefully planned shoot, I strive to create images that are both meaningful and visually compelling.
I started taking photography classes throughout my highschool years, taking everything they had to offer me. From Portrait, to Digital, to Special Effects. I also took it to the next step and pursued the Honors and AP courses they school was able to provide, allowing me to build my portfolio and learn more along the way. In college, I expanded my portfolio throughout 1 course of Digital Photography, and also built my portfolio in my free time.
